Head of PMO

OpsWorks Co. is a Ukraine-based IT engineering company. We specifically focus on providing professional DevOps and System Administration Services, delivering complex Engineering Solutions and Digital Transformation. We are looking to expand our team with a Head of PMO who will help us develop company strategy and ensure Project Management Office functionality and growth. This is a full-time and long-term position. HPMO will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders including CTO, Head of Sales, Head of HR  and participate in core business initiatives as well as managing the team of PMs.

You will be responsible for:

  • Define the PMO strategy and lead the design and implementation of a common project management methodology, standards, and tools to drive and facilitate successful delivery projects;
  • Coach team of Project Managers to secure quality project objectives (schedules, resource management, scope definition, presentations, risk mitigation);
  • Manage the PMO team and provide performance feedback and goal-setting; conduct annual performance assessments and skill development and training;
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within the scope and within budget, track cost/budget, timelines, velocity, achievements, and completion across all projects;
  • Work closely with Sales and HR, attend pre-sale activities and interviews;
  • Define and oversee resource planning & resource management processes;
  • Lead own team of engineers and projects.

Your Qualifications/Skills:

  • 5+ years of project management experience in IT outsourcing;
  • Ability to manage a range of projects types and complex business initiatives and change programmes;
  • Team management experience with the ability to manage and motive PMO as well as a technical team;
  • Experience in mentoring and coaching the PMO and business project teams to effectively implement the Project Delivery approach;
  • Solid working knowledge of risk management, configuration management, disaster recovery and quality assurance;
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple demands;
  • Experience in project requirements gathering during the pre-sale process;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills;
  • Fluent English is a MUST, Ukrainian or Russian native.

Preferred:

  • Experience working with DevOps and system administration teams;
  • Managing distributed teams;
  • Technical background or previous IT engineering experience.

Your Qualifications/Skills

  • Experience in active sales 2+ years;
  • Experience selling IT services at least 1 year;
  • Generation and processing of leads to secure high conversion rates and stable cash flow;
  • Experience in running presentations for customers of “enterprise” type;
  • Experience in identification of decision makers within corporations for successful deal accomplishment;
  • Experience in building and maintenance of long-term relationships with customers;

  • 2+ years of practical experience in SEO-promotion of B2B websites in Europe and U.S. markets, possibility to provide cases;

Middle DevOps Engineer

We are looking to expand our team with an experienced Middle DevOps Engineer who will help us to ensure that we meet our customers’ demands of service delivery and QoS. The position implies working with the latest technology stack and constant growth within the role. We will work together to improve clients infrastructure development, configuration management, continuous integration and delivery processes to guarantee reliability, availability and high performance of the underlying environments. This is a full-time and a long-term position.

You will be responsible for:

  • System administration and DevOps support of worldwide development teams;
  • Cloud architecture design and implementation;
  • Continuous integration and continuous delivery implementation;
  • Infrastructure and applications monitoring;
  • Automating routing processes;
  • Mentoring junior engineers.

Your Qualifications/Skills:

  • At least 3 years of experience in IT Operations, Systems Engineering or SRE;
  • Outstanding knowledge of Linux systems and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP);
  • Apache and Nginx knowledge;
  • Understanding of virtualization concepts;
  • Experience with High Available and High Load systems;
  • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash);
  • Programming fundamentals (ability to read code);
  • Experience with at least one configuration management tool: Ansible, Puppet, SaltStack, Chef;
  • CI/CD implementation practice using tools like Jenkins, GitLab or similar;
